The Goldstein Partnership (www.goldstein-architects.com) has an immediate opening for a
talented full-time Junior Architect, with 3-5 years of experience, in our Maplewood, NJ office.

Our firm, founded in 1953 by James Goldstein, FAIA, is among the longest-established and most highly respected Architectural & Planning firms in the New York Metropolitan area. We are a small firm that does big work, and are known for innovative design that embodies state-of the-art building technology, unparalleled attention to detail, and exceptional client service.

We seek a self-directed, detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow professionally within a small and collaborative team environment, and to learn from talented and experienced colleagues. The successful candidate will work on project types that include Governmental, Religious, Resilience, and Forensic. This position offers the potential to grow into increasing responsibilities and more senior roles within the firm.

Under the guidance of experienced senior architects the successful candidate will:
• Create Vectorworks-based drawings, computer models, and renderings though all project phases
• Create thorough Vectorworks-based construction documents
• Coordinate designs and details
• Participate in projects from initial design through construction administration

Requirements:
• B.Arch or M.Arch degree from an accredited school of architecture
• Proficiency with Vectorworks for design, production, and illustration is essential
• Mac experience a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of construction detailing and documents
• Knowledge of the design process and experience helping to develop full sets of architectural
  construction documents and their component parts – details, schedules, etc.
• Able to work in a team environment with good collaboration skills
• Excellent presentation abilities; hand sketching a plus
• Technical understanding of how building design is documented
• Flexibility to focus on multiple clients and concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and well-organized
• Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Maplewood, NJ
• U.S. citizenship, or possession of a visa for working in the U.S.
